How GC Libertad helped an inmate support his partner outside prison

For someone serving a prison sentence, one of the greatest challenges is being unable to help loved ones when urgent problems arise outside.

One of our clients approached GC Libertad because his partner was facing an uncertain future in Spain. Her employment contract was approaching its expiry date, and without continued employment, her ability to remain in the country could be affected.

Helping when someone cannot act alone

From inside prison, our client had limited opportunities to organise the necessary arrangements himself.

GC Libertad stepped in to help, using our business contacts and network outside prison to explore a possible employment solution for his partner.

A practical approach with no guarantees

Our first step was to assess the situation, prepare the necessary paperwork and submit the relevant applications.

Only a small administrative fee was charged for this initial work.

We made no promises or guarantees about the outcome. The client would only pay for the main service once we had confirmation that the proposed solution could proceed.

Through our network, we were able to arrange a new employment opportunity and assist with the necessary contract documentation.

This provided an important foundation for addressing her employment and immigration situation.

Supporting families beyond prison walls

At GC Libertad, we understand that imprisonment affects more than the individual serving a sentence.

Partners and families outside prison can face urgent challenges involving employment, accommodation, legal documentation and everyday practical matters.

When someone cannot personally take action because they are in prison, having a reliable contact on the outside can make an enormous difference.

A positive step towards stability

In this case, our involvement helped create a practical employment solution for the client’s partner, giving the couple greater reassurance about their immediate future.

The case also demonstrates our approach: assess the situation first, explain the possibilities clearly, charge transparently and proceed only when there is a realistic solution.

We are here when help is needed
