What we do

GC Libertad helps foreigners in Spanish prisons and their families. We give practical support and connect you with independent lawyers in Spain. GC Libertad is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. Legal advice and representation are provided by the lawyer you choose, who is responsible for their own work.

Agreements with lawyers

When you choose a lawyer through us, the agreement about legal work and fees is made directly between you and the lawyer. We are not a party to that agreement.

Free consultation

The first consultation is free and does not commit you to anything.

Prices and payment

Prices for our own services are shown on the Services page. The final price, what is included and the payment terms are confirmed in writing before we start. Monthly services run until you cancel them.

Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you can cancel an agreement made at a distance within 14 days without giving a reason. If you ask us to start the service within the 14 days, you pay for the part of the service already delivered. Write to us by email to cancel.

No guarantees

No one can guarantee the result of a criminal case or how long it will take. Court cases in Spain often take a long time, especially for foreigners. We never promise a specific outcome or timeline.

Liability

We do our best to give correct and up-to-date information, but the articles on this website are general information and not legal advice. We are not liable for decisions made only on the basis of the website content, or for the work of independent lawyers. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law as a consumer.

Use of the website

All text, images and logos on this website belong to GC Libertad or are used with permission. You may not copy them for commercial use without our written consent.

We handle personal data as described in our privacy policy and cookie policy.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes are handled by the courts of Málaga, unless the law gives you as a consumer the right to use the courts where you live.
